Reverend (http://www.reverendguitars.com) no longer makes basses, but the Rumblefish family are semi-hollow with composite front/back over a white mahogany center block with a molded plastic rim. They sound great to me, with the PJ being my personal favorite of the bunch (I've not tried a Brad Houser model as 5s don't work for me).
I love the little something that being semi-hollow adds to a basses tone. And the tone from the Rumblefish PJ is about my favorite I've found so far. If it were more comfortable to play these would be all I'd play.
