This is a 1st generation Tribute SB-2 (made in Korea vs. made in Indonesia) with different badging on the headstock & bridge, an optional maple fretboard and a sunburst finish over a basswood body. Current (2nd Generation) Tributes don't offer the sunburst finish or maple fretboard option.
The pickups are still US MFDs and the bass sounds great. I need to do some control work on
it if I keep it (I like a tone control available on an SB-2 and the default controls are a
pair of volumes only).
