After giving up on 5-strings I wanted a second fretless so I can spend more time working on my intonation and have one that I'm willing to take places I don't want to take my blue one. This is basically identical to my blue one (except I found it used rather than bought it new) and will let me spend more time trying to play in tune.
SB-2s are my favorite G&Ls - great string-to-string/high-to-low balance, passive, growl for days, cuts through any mix, my personal "most comfortable" bass ever. When I found this one while looking for an inexpensive fretless to be my #2 fretless I couldn't pass it up.
I sold it when having two fretlesses seemed like a waste as I can't play one in tune. But later on when I was down
to no fretlesses I wanted one again and this bass came available. It was a nice bass so I bought it again to be my
fretless for when I want to make whale noises and experiment with microtonality.
