In Jaipur we had pigeons defending eggs outside the window of
our hotel room in the Holiday Inn (a very nice hotel) and saw the Jal Mahal, or lake palace, although Rajasthan
("the desert of India" as our guide liked to say) is very dry and the lakebed is empty of water for the most part.
